Co-production Promise and Toolkit – Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services (SCYVS)

Date: Monday, 20th Nov 2023 | Category: General

The Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services (SCYVS) have launched their recently created Co-production Promise and Toolkit which has been developed in collaborated with partners over the last 12-15 months.  The final version of the Promise, which includes links to the video, the toolkit and the pledge page can be found here.

Phil Pusey, Chief Executive of SCYVS says

“The “ask” now is to share the Promise and links as widely as possible within all organisations, networks and partnerships, encouraging people to familiarise themselves with the local Staffordshire Co-production definition, the Promise principles identified together and the content of the toolkit to help with applying this in practice.

I would also ask people to sign up and pledge their support in whatever ways they can and to encourage others in their teams, organisations and sectors to do the same.  These will be sent through to and monitored via a pledge@staffordshire.gov.uk email address which will be accessible to SEND team members. I would also ask that people consider how they can help embed the Promise and its principles into everyday practice, so that what we have promised becomes more and more the experience of those we support.”

Phil went on to say

“There are already indications that the Promise commitments will be used to inform the SEND APP 2.0, the development of the Family Hub model and delivery of Early Help, the Early Years Advisory Delivery Plan and the Violence Reduction Alliance Strategy.  Hopefully this is just the start of the impact we aim to contribute to.

The objective is that given time the Promise and its use by everyone will support the wider transformation we are all seeking to achieve together, alongside the other elements of the Accelerated Progress Plan.”
